What Perkbox costs a company, and what goes into a quote

Perkbox pricing starts with a form on its pricing page, and the quote that follows covers the parts of the platform a company chooses. A people lead setting it beside coaching for staff can compare the two on what each part covers and how each is paid for, and TriageFit's side of that comparison is priced on the business page.

The parts a Perkbox quote is built from

A package draws on wellbeing support with an employee assistance programme, salary sacrifice benefits, discounts, and reward and recognition.

For mental health there is a confidential employee assistance programme with licensed counsellors, open around the clock. Perkbox also offers online GP consultations by phone or video, with same-day appointments, referrals and physiotherapy. According to its help centre, that service is open to staff whose company has an online GP subscription with Perkbox. It is also for UK residents only, and not open to anyone living in the Republic of Ireland.

For exercise and sleep, the Wellbeing hub holds workout videos, audio meditations, sleep stories, yoga and Pilates sessions, music and live webinars, and elsewhere on its site Perkbox lists recipes and everyday wellbeing tips.

Benefits come as salary sacrifice schemes for Cycle to Work, cars, and home and technology essentials paid through payroll. Beyond those there are thousands of staff discounts and perks from brands people already shop with, and for anyone who trains, the list takes in discounts on fitness classes, gyms, activewear and equipment.

Reward points and how they are paid for

Rewards for staff run on points, which a company buys through the platform, and the help centre's own example puts them at £50 for 500 points, with VAT shown as a separate line on the order summary. A company can pay for them by card, which adds them to the wallet straight away, or by bank transfer against an invoice, which adds them once the money arrives. From the wallet, points go to staff directly, or to managers as budgets of their own. The help centre also says there is no service fee on reward points, which do not expire.

A Perkbox budget can therefore carry two lines, the package agreed in the quote and whatever the company decides to put into points.

Billing and the account

Once the contract is running, the company has a billing page with the current plan, payment details and past invoices. Its help centre adds that questions about the agreement itself are handled by a Customer Success Manager.

Inside a coaching seat

Whoever holds a seat gets a year of TriageFit coaching, and when someone leaves the company, their seat can pass to a colleague.

First comes an intake of about half an hour, which can be left halfway and picked up later. The intake asks about goals, past training, injuries, how the week runs and the kit the person can reach. Their programme then runs in phases our coaches designed, and each session is filled from the 382 exercises in the library to suit that kit, those injuries and their level. Food starts from the same answers, with a calorie target matched to their metabolism and macros that move with each weekly check-in.

Their check-in lands on the day they picked, and whatever they logged that week is already there. Once it is sent, a coaching message on the week comes back within seconds, and a real coach reads the check-in as well. On the days in between, the AI coach can offer to fit a session into a shorter lunch break, move it to another day or plan training around a trip, and the person agrees to each change before it happens.

An engineering firm in Nottingham

An engineering firm in Nottingham has about seventy staff and keeps Perkbox for its assistance programme and discounts. Its people lead wants something aimed at training and food. Priced in sterling on the business page, 25 seats come to £405 each and £10,125 for the year. The firm pays by card, and the portal is ready as soon as the payment goes through.

Invitations go out from the People tab. In its announcement, the firm tells staff the seats are theirs to take or leave and that it will see only a list of seat holders and group figures.

A fitter on early shifts finishes the intake over two lunch breaks and gets a programme for the three days a week they can train after work. A project engineer who travels to customer sites tells the AI coach about a week away. It proposes sessions a hotel gym can handle, and they switch in once the engineer confirms.

What the seats cost

In sterling the ladder runs £450 a seat for 10 to 24 seats, £405 a seat for 25 to 49 seats, £375 a seat for 50 to 99 seats and £340 for 100 or more, with VAT included. The euro ladder is €500 a seat for 10 to 24 seats, €450 a seat for 25 to 49 seats, €415 a seat for 50 to 99 seats and €375 for 100 or more.

The band a pack falls in decides the price of all its seats, so a team one seat short of the next band pays more in total than a team that reaches it. Checking the next band up is worth doing before settling on a number.

Checkout takes the whole first year up front. Sterling and US dollar packs are paid by card, and euro packs by card or SEPA direct debit. A seat added partway through is invoiced pro rata for the rest of the term, and once the pack grows into the next band, every seat takes that band's lower price.

The pack renews each year. Around a month ahead, the billing contact is told the renewal date and how many seats will renew. A company that wants to stop emails TriageFit from its billing address before that date, and its seats stay open until the term ends.

On the business page, the calculator gives a price for a pack in sterling, euro or US dollars, and anyone can use it before signing up. A team of up to 50 can check out there. Beyond that size, the enquiry form goes to a real person, who emails back with a quote, volume pricing and the rollout steps.
