What BetterMe costs in Ireland, and how its renewals work
BetterMe's listing on the Irish App Store shows ten in-app purchases, from €7.99 to €41.99, among them a one-month subscription at €22.99, and its terms leave the price you pay to the payment screen, which shows your first period's price and the renewal price before you buy. Personal coaching from a real coach is an extra paid feature on BetterMe. TriageFit costs €50 every 4 weeks with VAT included, more than twice that one-month subscription, and for that your food and training are coached together, with a real coach reading each weekly check-in.

BetterMe sells its app on its own websites and through the App Store and Google Play, and its subscription terms say BetterMe shows the price of your first period and the price it renews at on the payment screen before you complete the purchase. The prices on this page come from its listings on the Irish App Store and on Google Play, and the rest of the BetterMe facts come from its subscription terms, its terms and conditions, its money-back policy and the product page for its app. The sources at the foot of the page carry the date each one was read.

| Monthly subscription | €7.99 or €10.99 |
| Annual subscription | €21.99 or €32.99 |

Every price in the table comes from BetterMe's listing on the Irish App Store, which shows ten in-app purchases, from €7.99 to €41.99, and gives only a name and a price for each purchase. The listing does not say which of those prices are introductory. BetterMe's subscription terms say the first period is charged at the introductory or trial price if one is offered, and each period after it at the price current at the time. They add that a discounted offer renews at the full price, without the discount. Depending on the plan, a subscription renews each week, every 4 weeks, every 12 weeks, every year or on another period.
On Google Play, BetterMe's Irish listing puts its in-app purchases at €0.89 to €204.99 when they are billed through the store. The app there needs Android 10 or later and is rated PEGI 3, and every price on the store includes VAT. On the App Store it is a free download with in-app purchases, for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, rated 16+ and needing iOS 18.0 or later.
What the app includes
BetterMe's App Store listing describes more than 4,000 home workouts, among them Pilates, calisthenics, strength training, yoga, walking and workouts for the gym, many of them needing no equipment. The app gives you structured plans built around your goals and your schedule. It offers meal logging from a photo, with a breakdown of its nutrition, and it connects to Apple Health, for your steps, your activity, key health readings and your menstrual cycle. It also works with BetterMe's own fitness tracker and smart scale, which record sleep, heart rate, stress, steps and body composition.
The Google Play listing describes a calorie counter with photo logging, a food and nutrition tracker and meal plan tools. It also lists an intermittent fasting tracker with a choice of schedules, along with a period tracker, for planning workouts around your cycle, and says the app tracks your weight, steps, sleep and other readings. BetterMe's product page lists more than 20 meal plans, with hundreds of recipes for traditional, vegan, lactose-free, keto and other diets, and it mentions water and calorie trackers, intermittent fasting plans and self-care challenges.
Coaching from a person is an extra you pay for. The Google Play listing describes 1-on-1 coaching with a real fitness coach, which is available as an additional paid feature, and the App Store listing says the same of personalised coaching. BetterMe's product page mentions daily chat support and help from a certified coach. BetterMe's terms describe a coaching service that connects you with virtual coaches who offer motivational tools, and you set your goals with your coach. The same terms say that BetterMe can bring in or swap any coach at its discretion, and that the coaching is not a medical, mental health or healthcare service.
The trial, cancelling and refunds
BetterMe may offer a trial, stated on the price screen before checkout, and unless you cancel before it ends, you are charged the price on the payment screen for the period you chose. Its terms also say it may offer a paid trial, and the Irish App Store lists a three-day fat-loss trial at €9.99. A subscription bought on the App Store renews automatically within the 24 hours before a free trial or the current period ends, and you manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. One bought on Google Play renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Google Play account settings.
If you subscribed on BetterMe's website, you cancel in the app, under More, My Profile and then Manage Subscription, which opens BetterMe's website, or by logging in on the website and choosing Manage Subscription. If you subscribed through an app store, you cancel in the settings of your App Store, Google Play or Huawei AppGallery account, at least 24 hours before the trial or the period ends. BetterMe's subscription terms say deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, that each plan is a separate subscription, so each one has to be cancelled, and that after cancelling you keep every feature until the end of the period you have paid for.
For a purchase on the website, a refund is at BetterMe's discretion, and a period that has already started or ended is generally not refunded unless the money-back policy or the law provides for it. For a purchase through an app store, a refund is requested from Apple, Google or Huawei, because that purchase follows the store's own refund policy, and BetterMe cannot refund it. BetterMe's terms call purchases final and not refundable, except where the law requires or at BetterMe's discretion. They also say a consumer in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland can withdraw within 14 days of the contract, with a deduction for the service already provided, and a consumer in the EU can withdraw online.
BetterMe's money-back policy applies only for a subscription bought directly on BetterMe's websites, where the money-back option was shown at checkout. It is for someone who followed the programme and did not get visible results, and to claim, you contact BetterMe within 30 days of your first purchase, having followed the programme for at least 7 days in those 30 days, and send screenshots from the app showing at least 7 finished sessions. Any other request is handled case by case, at BetterMe's discretion.
How TriageFit coaches you
With TriageFit, your food and your training sit in one account, and a real coach reads how your week went. You begin with an intake of about half an hour, which you can save partway and come back to. It asks what you want to achieve, how you have trained before, what equipment you have, which injuries you are working around and the days that suit you for training.
Your training comes in phases our coaches designed, four to six weeks each, one after another for as long as you train with us. The sessions draw on 382 exercises, chosen for your equipment and your level, and any exercise that would aggravate an injury you told us about is left out. Coaching cues come with every exercise, and the main lifts have video.
The same intake gives you a calorie target matched to your metabolism, with your protein spread through the day, and your macros are adjusted from each weekly check-in. You log a meal by searching our food database, by tapping one of your recent meals to log it again or by logging a saved recipe as a serving, and anything the database does not hold can be entered by name with its macros.
Once a week, on the day you pick, you check in. The calories and macros you logged are already there, set beside the sessions your programme had that week, and you rate your energy, recovery, motivation, sleep and stress, with room for a note. A reply arrives within seconds, and a real coach reads the check-in as well. A week with too little logged leaves your targets as they were, and after a long stall you can be offered a diet break at maintenance, which begins only once you confirm it.
The AI coach is there day and night. When a day goes sideways, it can cut a session shorter, swap an exercise or move a session to a different day, and nothing changes until you say yes. If you want a lift checked, you record a set and a coach reviews it. There is also a group with coaches in it, where questions are answered for everyone to see and challenges run for the group to join.
The body page puts your weight beside your waist, hip and chest measurements and your progress photos, and it shows the trend over the weeks before any single weigh-in. If you wear an Apple Watch, a Garmin, a Whoop, an Oura ring or a Fitbit, you export the data and upload it, and your recovery readings adjust how hard your sessions ask you to work. TriageFit runs in a browser, on your phone or your computer.
From home workouts to a coached programme
A primary school teacher in Cork has followed BetterMe's wall Pilates and walking workouts at home for a year, and now wants to get stronger and lose some fat, with a coach keeping an eye on the week. They join TriageFit, and in the intake they put down the two kettlebells and the set of resistance bands they keep at home, a left knee that aches on the stairs, and the Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings they can train.
Their programme gives each of those mornings a session built around the kettlebells and the bands, and the exercises that would aggravate the knee are left out. In the first week they search the food database for the porridge and the chicken salad they have most days, and after that both sit in their recent meals, where a tap logs them again. The vegetable curry they make on a Sunday goes in as a recipe, so a bowl of it logs as a serving. In the second week a school tour means an early start on the Wednesday, so they ask the AI coach for a shorter session, and it goes in once they confirm it. In the third week they film a set of kettlebell swings, and a coach reviews it.
Their check-in falls on a Sunday. The week's calories and macros are already filled in beside the three sessions their programme set, and after a run of parent-teacher meetings they rate their sleep low and mention it in the note. The reply is back within seconds, and a coach reads the check-in too. They wear a Fitbit, so they export its data and upload it, and their recovery readings adjust how hard the sessions ask them to work. On the body page, their hip measurement sits beside their weight, with the trend over the weeks shown first.
What TriageFit costs
In Ireland, TriageFit costs €50 every 4 weeks with VAT included, or €500 for a year, which is more than twice what BetterMe's one-month subscription costs on the Irish App Store. The UK price is £45 every 4 weeks, and the US price is $55. There is no contract on the block plan, so you can stop whenever you choose, and a pause of one to three months is there for an injury, a busy spell or a holiday.
Which one suits you
BetterMe suits someone who wants thousands of home workouts, meal plans and trackers in one app for a small monthly price, with a coach available as a paid extra. TriageFit suits someone who wants their training built around their equipment, their injuries and their free days, their food coached beside it, and a real coach reading each weekly check-in, for €50 every 4 weeks.
How to start
Choose a plan on the pricing page, create your account and pay, and the intake opens. Weight loss coaching shows how your calorie target is set and moved from one check-in to the next, and fat loss coaching covers keeping your training moving while the fat comes off. For another app's prices, what Noom costs sets out its plans, and what a personal trainer costs puts TriageFit beside a trainer paid by the session.
