Every income stream open to a fitness creator
Fitness influencers make money from brand deals, platform payouts, their own coaching and products, and affiliate links, and the streams differ most in how steady they are. The TriageFit affiliate programme pays 10% of every payment a follower you refer makes, for as long as they stay subscribed, which puts it among the steadier streams a creator can add.

Ask how fitness influencers make money and you rarely get one answer. Most creators who earn a living from fitness content run several income streams at once, and the useful way to compare them is on three questions: what a stream pays, how steady that pay is from one month to the next, and how much of your week it takes to keep it going.
The income streams side by side
| Stream | How it pays | How steady | What it takes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brand deals | A fee for each post or campaign | Arrives when a brand wants you | Pitching, then content made to a brief |
| Platform payouts | A share of ad revenue or a platform bonus | Moves with views and the platform's rules | Posting often and meeting the thresholds |
| Your own coaching | A monthly fee per client | Steady while clients stay | Programmes, check-ins, messages and admin |
| Digital products | A price per sale | Rises and falls with each launch | Making the product, then promoting it |
| Paid community | A monthly fee per subscriber | Steady while subscribers stay | Fresh content every single month |
| Product affiliate links | A share of each order | Follows how often you post links | Choosing products and posting links |
| Recurring referral commission | A share of every payment a referral makes | Steady while referrals stay subscribed | The recommendation itself |
Brand deals and sponsorships
A brand deal pays you to feature a product in your content, and for many creators it is the stream that first makes content feel like a job. The fee depends on your reach, your engagement and how closely your audience matches the brand's customers, and it usually covers the content you make for that campaign. The pay can be good and the timing is out of your hands, because the next deal starts when a brand decides it wants you, and a quiet quarter in marketing budgets is a quiet quarter for you.
Platform payouts
YouTube shares ad revenue with channels that qualify for its partner programme, and other platforms run their own creator schemes. Payouts follow views, so they reward posting often, and the rules and thresholds change often enough that each platform's own help pages are the only reliable guide to what your account can earn. For most fitness creators this stream is a top-up rather than a living, and it moves every time the platform changes how it pays.
Coaching, products and paid communities
Selling your own coaching earns the most from each person, and it is also the stream that eats the most of your week, since somebody has to write the programmes, read the check-ins and answer the messages. Digital products such as a training plan or a recipe book are made once and sold many times, and the income arrives in waves around each launch. A paid community pays monthly, and the members expect something new every month in return, so it runs closer to a subscription job than a passive income. Affiliate marketing against selling your own coaching sets the hours of running your own coaching beside a referral.
Affiliate links, one-off and recurring
An affiliate link earns a share of what your audience spends through it. Links to kit, clothing or supplements usually pay once for each order, so the income follows how often you post them. A link to a subscription can pay every time the subscriber pays, which means a recommendation you made in the spring is still earning in the autumn if the person you sent is still subscribed.
That difference compounds over a year. With one-off links, each month starts from nothing and depends on that month's posts. With recurring commission, each month starts with the payments from everyone you referred before, and new referrals add to that base.
Where the TriageFit commission sits
TriageFit pays affiliates 10% of every paid invoice from each person they refer, for the lifetime of that person's subscription. Everyone earns the same rate, with no tiers, and it is worked out on what the member pays, before any tax or processing fees. A member on the block plan earns you €5 a payment, or €65 over 13 payments in a year, and an annual member earns you €50 each year they renew.
Referrals are credited on the last link clicked, when the person signs up within 60 days and then pays. Each commission is held 30 days, and Stripe Connect pays out monthly and automatically once your payable balance reaches €20. The calculator on the affiliate page turns a number of referrals into a year's income, in euro, pounds or US dollars.
What your audience is being sold
Recurring commission only works if people stay, and people stay when the product is good. A member pays €50 every 4 weeks or €500 a year with VAT included, one plan with no tiers, and joins through the same checkout whether they arrive from your link or not. Their programme is built from an intake of about thirty minutes, in phases our coaches designed, their food targets adjust each week, and a weekly check-in, read by a real coach as well, rebuilds their next week. The AI coach answers at any hour, coaches review the form-check videos members send, and the group has coaches in it.
Adding it to the streams you already run
A referral link sits alongside everything else in the table. Put it where your audience already asks what you use, tag each placement in the link toolkit so the dashboard shows which one sends people, and say plainly that you earn a commission when someone joins, which the terms ask of anyone promoting to their own clients. Applying takes one short form and no TriageFit account, and your referral link is waiting in your dashboard once you follow the sign-in email.

Questions people ask
- Which income stream suits a new fitness creator best?
- Usually one that pays for trust rather than reach. Brand deals and platform payouts tend to need a large audience before they pay much, while an affiliate link pays on whoever acts on your recommendation, however many followers you have. A recurring commission adds each new referral to the ones already paying.
- How steady is recurring commission compared with brand deals?
- A brand deal pays once for the content it asks for, and the next one depends on the next brand. A recurring commission pays each time a referral pays, so the income from past recommendations carries into the next month for as long as those people stay subscribed.
- How is TriageFit commission paid out?
- Through Stripe Connect, which you connect from your dashboard. Each commission is held for 30 days, then becomes payable, and payouts go out monthly and automatically once your payable balance reaches €20. You are paid in the currency each member is billed in, and there is never an invoice to send.
- Can I see which of my placements sends people?
- Yes. Tag each link in the link toolkit by where you share it, and the Campaigns panel on your dashboard splits your clicks by tag. The panel called "Where people stop" then shows how many clicks became signups and how many of those signups kept paying.
